The glassmaker family Bon has its roots in two islands, Murano and Burano. It all started with the grandfathers Luciano Bon and Angelo Rossi, both originally from Burano, who worked in the Murano glassworks for at least 40 years.
In 1986, Mauro Bon and Martina Rossi continued the tradition by opening a glassmaking laboratory in Murano, using the lampworks technique – in which the glass is melted using the flame of a torch to create decorative objects, figurines or pearls.
Their daughters Jessica and Gaia inherited the family passion. They had the opportunity to get to know glass in all its aspects and learned to appreciate it, understand it and reinterpret it in a more modern way. Surrounded by their parents and grandparents, they launched the MAJEGA project (the initials of their names) and settled in a typical orange house in the colourful surroundings of the island of Burano.
During the Festival days in Mali Lošinj they delighted numerous visitors with their creations.
