Taste the Mediterranean: Ultimate gourmet festival
For the second time, Mali Lošinj is hosting the International Festival Taste the Mediterranean From September 9 to 13, visitors will have the opportunity to sample the very best that the Kvarner – the European Region of Gastronomy 2026, has to offer to lovers of Mediterranean flavours


The festival brings together award-winning chefs and winemakers from numerous countries and other Croatian regions: they showcase their culinary art to the visitors and share their knowledge with top local chefs and aspiring cooks - students from the local hospitality and culinary school.

Four Chefs of the Year for One Evening

For the first time four Chefs of the Year – title awarded by the Croatian edition of the prestigeous Gault&Millau gastronomic guide - will prepare together an exclusive dinner. Marijo Curić (Chef of the Year 2023) - Restaurant 360 in Dubrovnik, Marko Đurašević (Chef of the Year 2024) - Restaurant Val di Breno in Srebreno, Rudi Štefan (Chef of the Year 2025) – Restaurant Pelegrini in Šibenik and Stiven Vunić (Chef of the Year 2026) - Konoba Zijavica in Mošćenička Draga, have crafted a nine-course menu, accompanied by a premium selection of wines and the best cheeses by President.

At the terrace of the impressive Hotel Bellevue situated in the enchanting Čikat Bay, the guests will be treated to a truly unique gastronomic experience It will be a rare opportunity to sample, all in one place, the finest dishes from renowned chefs representing restaurants across Kvarner and Dalmatia, all awarded Gault&Millau toques as well as Michelin stars and plates.

Another exclusive four-hands dinner at the impressive Alhambra Boutique Hotel is prepared by top Italian chef Peter Brunel owner and chef of the restaurant Peter Brunel Ristorante Gourmet, in Arco, (Trentino Alto Adige region), and his host Daniel Skokić, chef at the Alfred Keller restaurant.

Both restaurants hold one Michelin star, and their creative, innovative and, above all, delicious dishes will delight even the most discerning guests. The food will be paired with premium wines from the Masciarelli winery in Italy’s Abruzzo region, personally presented by the renowned winemaker Marina Cvetić.

Island gastronomy at Special Prices
The Mediterranean in Kvarner is a special offer of the leading Mali Lošinj's restaurants during the Taste the Mediterranean festival.
