Sanja Krmpotić

The first mentor and hospitality expert in Croatia, Sanja Krmpotić helps leading companies in hospitality, tourism and other service industries raise their standards of hospitality and service excellence in order to foster guest loyalty and significantly strengthen competitive advantage. Her philosophy is simple: only a truly delighted guest returns, becomes the best (and free) marketing and ensures continuous revenue and long-term business success.

With a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Economics, she has been following the development of the Croatian food & wine scene for almost 30 years— first as a guest, later as a food and wine journalist (contributor to the culinary culture magazine Iće&piće, winner of the 2012 Gourmand Award for the 3rd best gourmet magazine in the world) and as a hotelier-restaurateur in the fine dining and boutique hotel sector in Croatia (Hotel & Restaurant Draga di Lovrana) and Austria (Restaurant Landhaus Bacher, 18.5 points and 4 toques Gault&Millau, Michelin 2**, 99 points Falstaff, long-standing member of the European association Jeunes Restaurateurs – JRE).

She later founded her company Sagape Hospitality Consulting, integrating her professional expertise with her passion for hospitality and her commitment to effective communication with guests and clients. She is a 1st degree sommelier in the Croatian Sommelier Club, a member of Women on Wine and a certified NLP Master, specializing in advanced communication techniques and skills for improved communication, successful negotiation and effective leadership in dealing with people.
