Biography
Chef Renato Kraljev (56) comes from litlle town of Banj on the island of Pašman. In the culinary community of Zadar he is recognized for numerous awards from local institutions, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and the Croatian Tourist Board.
For many years, he has worked as a teacher – mentor of cooking at the school in Zadar, where he selflessly passes on his rich experience to younger generations. For his dedicated work with students, he received the annual award of the Zadar County Tourist Board. He is also the president of the Zadar County Chefs Association and the president of the Commission for Master Exams at the Croatian Chamber of Crafts in Zadar.
He is the author of the cookbook Autochthonous Cookbook of Zadar County, whose international promotion was held in Rome. He has led various workshops and events, also promoting local fish products and traditional cuisine. He is the organizer of the gastronomic section and a participant in the Tuna, Sushi & Wine Festival and Meat Me Festival in Zadar. He has participated in various charity events in Zadar and Zadar County. He is the president of the commission at the Croatian Chamber of Crafts Zadar for master craftsman exams and a long-standing member of the state commission at the Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education for World Skills competitions.
