Talent, versatility, dedication, and passion are the qualities that distinguish Mar Botero, singer, composer, actress, and musician by profession, born in Bogota; Singing since she can remember, she has developed a unique style in her voice, where she mixes the smoothness of jazz, pop energy, the freshness of soul, and the strength of rock, four key elements in her career as a singer.
Graduated from the L’aula de Música Moderna I Jazz del Conservatori de Música del Liceu. She has participated as a singer in different soundtracks for soap operas, serials, and jingles for radio and television, as an announcer and singer; She has worked and alternated with national and international artists such as Micky Taberas, Andres Cepeda, Carlos Baute, Noel Schajris, mojito lite, Antonio Carmona, Marbelle, and Martina La Peligrosa among others.
Mar Botero was nominated to the Grammy Awards for her participation as a singer in Moises Angulo’s album, Alégrense. Her album SOLTAR was chosen by Sony Entertainment Television as the soundtrack for the series Los Caballeros las prefieren Brutas. She was a finalist in the reality La Voz Colombia in its first season. She has made a career in musical theater, in various companies inside and outside the country. The singer is currently releasing the first single of her third album. “Life goes on” is the name of this song with which she returns to digital platforms and aims to captivate many hearts with its healing lyrics and great production.
