Chefovi Sandra i Dane Tahirović

Sandra and Dane Tahirović are a successful married couple who together run the famous restaurant Zora bila, just above the beach of Bačvice, in Split. Together, they create new dishes, cook and serve guests. , In addition to the great ambience and the taste of the Mediterranean, every guest who visits their restaurant will also feel the pleasant family atmosphere that reigns there.

Sandra and Dane named their restaurant after the song “Zora bila” (white dawn), which brought them together more than two decades ago. Their cuisine is based on top quality ingredients, and they put a lot of effort into creating new and interesting dishes, so the menu is never the same. From the very beginning, their desire was to cook healthy and high-quality food. The talented chefs cook with a lot of emotions and you can feel it in the delicious taste of their cuisine. In 2019 they presented a menu that included the 50 healthiest foods in the world. Each dish they prepare is a story on its own, and the creative menu is mostly inspired by the Mediterranean.

As they consider the food and wine pairing very important, they have nurtured for years the concept of promoting the best wines from all Croatian regions in their restaurant. This culinary tandem from the Split’s gastronomic scene won the Gault&Millau Croatia Trophy of Great Chefs of Tomorrow in 2020.

Since the Festival Taste the Mediterranean has been held in Split, i.e. the Split-Dalmatia County, every year they host in their restaurant a four hands dinner. The most impressive were those organised by the Mediterranean Women Chefs, so some of the world’s best women chefs have cooked in their kitchen.
