Biography
Born on November 10, 2005, Stipe Marinović is the youngest chef who has been participating in the Festival Taste the Mediterranean for several years. Until now, he has always been by the side of his grandfather, the legendary Split’s chef Zlatko Marinović – Nostromo, but this year Stipe will host the Japanese chef Ippei Uemura, with whom he will prepare a four-hands dinner on the first day of the Festival.
Cooking is really “in his blood”. He has been passionately devoted to gastronomy from an early age. He graduated from the high school of tourism, cooking section, where he acquired a solid basis of culinary skills. No matter how strange it sounds, given his age, he has many years of work experience in the Mediterranean cuisine restaurant Nostromo.
The young chef deals with all restaurant tasks, from creating the menu to the preparation of food, from procurement, to the introduction of strategy and high-quality zero waste methods, from management of the cooking team to the presentation of his dishes in front of the guests.
His work was recognized and he won numerous awards at competitions. Curious, he follows the new culinary trends and he is constantly looking for new challenges to further improve his knowledge and skills in the kitchen.
