Mario Omrčen

Chef Mario Omrčen opened his restaurant two years ago together with Franziska Burilo, his life and business partner and immediately won guests over with his creative, fresh and delicious dishes. Restaurant Bome in the neighbourhood Trstenik, in Split, is a small boutique restaurant with about twenty seats, but it is often full because the good word spread quickly.

The chef gained experience in famous Split restaurants, mostly located in the center, within the walls of Diocletian’s Palace. One of the reasons why he wanted to escape from the city center was the stress of coming to work, due to the large crowds during the summer season. But the most important thing was his enthusiasm. In search of new challenges, motivated and a great worker, he transferred his passion for food into the kitchen of his small restaurant. His dishes are attractive, but not pretentious.

Although many say that they could compete with some of the leading fine dining restaurants in Croatia, chef Mario cooks for the guests who enjoy food and for whom his offer is affordable.
