Daniel Skokić

Daniel Skokić became the executive chef of the Alfred Keller fine dining restaurant at the Alhambra Boutique Hotel this spring. After graduating from the Hospitality School in Opatija, Skokić built his career in the top hospitality industry, working in fine dining restaurants, private villas and on luxury yachts. He took his first professional steps on the island of Lošinj, where he worked at the Bellevue Hotel and Villa Hortensia as part of Lošinj Hotels & Villas, developing a solid foundation in the discipline, organization and standards of fine cuisine. He later upgraded his culinary techniques, creativity and experience on the international scene, working as a private chef in the world of yachting, where he had the opportunity to further refine his personalized approach to gastronomy. For almost four years, he was the executive chef of the Nobilion restaurant at the luxury Ikador hotel in Ika, where he led the development of recognizable themed dinners and unique gastronomic experiences, including Game of Chefs and Secret Dinner x5. These projects encouraged collaboration with renowned Croatian chefs and enabled him to dynamically exchange ideas and experiences. In addition to working in the kitchen, Daniel Skokić mentors young talent and supports professional development initiatives, including cooperation with catering schools and participation in the national competition WorldSkills Croatia. Knowledge of the local terroir and top-quality ingredients, as well as contemporary culinary expression, are the combination that wins over guests at the Alfred Keller restaurant, which has held a Michelin star since 2021, and was awarded 4 points and a score of 17/20 by the Gault&Millau Croatia guide.
