Christos Amantos

Having understood his love for gastronomy and cooking from an early age, Christos Amantos began to get involved with it professionally as soon as he completed his studies. He has worked at some of the most well-known restaurants & catering in Athens before ending up, nineteen years ago, at the Airotel Hotel Group. Having taken over as the chef at the Alexandros Hotel, he initially creates inspired recipes with rich flavours based on the Mediterranean cuisine and utilizing pure Greek raw materials from local producers.

He himself considers cooking a form of art, which, however, in order to produce results requires a passion for creation as well as a rich imagination for delicious journeys beyond the limits.

The Airotel Group has entrusted him with the position of executive chef, supervising all the Group’s restaurants from 2008 until today, giving him the possibility to compose real culinary miracles together with a strong and creative culinary team. He is an active member of the Chefs’ Club of Greece, promoting gastronomy in Greece and abroad with various actions. He is also a member of the national Culinary Team having participated in many competitions, winning at the same time many distinctions in cooking and artistic gastronomy.

Having the ability to transfer knowledge in a direct and communicative way, he has been working for the last few years alongside his employment in the Aerotel Group, in public and private culinary arts schools. Last but not least his experience has lead him to the position of Chef at VVIP gala dinners.
